SAVE Whatever happened to the old-fashioned notion that the press had an obligation to provide fair and objective news coverage that holds public officials accountable We think a healthy, skeptical press may be the last, best hope of mankind and that's why we're launching a monthly award called The Krugie for the article or blog entry that best exemplifies the spirit of holding their feet to the fire. Here's how it works. When you read an article that you believe deserves recognition for holding THEM responsible, send the link to us at krugies@gmail.com and we'll post it here. At the end of the month, the Best of the Blog Bloggers will pick a winner and send them a handsome Krugie certificate, suitable for framing. In December, we'll open the voting up to readers and choose the best articles of the year and award THE BIG KRUGIE to the journalist who has done most to restore the integrity of the America press.
