Republican Support for Sarah Palin Nosedives

A nationwide poll of Republican voters was released by the Clarus Research Group, and it contained some bad news for Sarah Palin. While the race for the 2012 nomination remains wide open, support for Sarah Palin has declined 33% in a year. Mitt Romney leads the field followed by Mike Huckabee, Newt Gingrich, and Palin.

Early leader Mitt Romney has seen his support drop four points from 30% one year ago to a current 26%. Second place finisher Mike Huckabee has remained steady as his support has gone from 22% one year ago to 21% today. Newt Gingrich has seen his support increase by one point from 14% one year ago to 15% today, but the one Republican who has seen their support erode is Sarah Palin, who has seen her support slide ...

Sarah Palin Blames Bloggers for Her Bigger Boobs

Instead of talking about policy or politics as an serious politician should do, Sarah Palin recently took to Fox News to address the rumors that she has had breast implants, and of course she had to blame evil bloggers for the story, “'Boobgate' is all over the Internet, because there are a lot of bored, idle bloggers and reporters with nothing else to talk about."

Iowa Poll Shows Trouble Ahead for Sarah Palin in 2012

The Des Moines Register released their new 2012 GOP poll for the state of Iowa today, and as expected the three most well known names, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, and Sarah Palin lead the pack. What is a surprise isn’t the overwhelming favorability of Romney, but the high unfavorabilily rating for Palin, who is not favored by 39% of the state’s Republicans.

The Des Moines Register poll did not measure preference, but instead focused on favorability. Romney had the highest favorable at 62%. He was closely followed by Sarah Palin at 58% and Newt Gingrich at 56%. Where the potential candidates separate themselves is in unfavorables. Romney has a very low unfavorable rating of 26%. Gingrich is second at 33%, and Palin is third at ...

Dick Cheney’s Deregulation to Blame for “Obama’s Katrina”

The evidence is in: Halliburton, Dick Cheney, secret energy task force meetings and massive Republican deregulation has once again led to tragedy. The April 20, 2010 Gulf oil spill is yet another story of careless, reckless deregulation and corruption under the Bush administration which has led to loss of life, destruction of wildlife and the environment, loss of income, and more. The full impact of the oil spill is still unknown.

Gulf Oil Spill Tragedy

Gulf Oil Spill Tragedy

Evidence is mounting up that the oil spill in the Gulf is the result of a tragic sequence of equipment failures – but ultimately, all of them should have and could have been caught, had the rig been regulated properly. It turns out that tens of thousands of offshore rigs ...

So Far Over 1 Million Viewers Have Dumped Glenn Beck In 2010

Things are not looking good for Glenn Beck and FNC. Not only have over 200 advertisers left Beck, and the network has been reduced to virtually giving away his ad time, but Fox News viewers are leaving his show in droves. Since January, Beck has lost 33% of his audience, or roughly 1.4 million daily viewers. The worst news for Beck is that this has been a steady erosion, and the viewers are not coming back.

Joe Scarborough Attacks the GOP’s Un-American Arizona Immigration Law

Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough has earned the wrath of many of his fellow Republicans for his criticism of the new Arizona immigration law. In the face of growing volumes of hate mail, today Scarborough continued as he called the bill un-American. Scarborough said targeting legal Hispanics is, “unacceptable and un-American.”

Yesterday, Scarborough called the law offensive. He took it even further today, “It does offend me when one out of every three citizens in the state of Arizona are Hispanics, and you have now put a target on the back of one of three citizens who if they are walking their dog around a neighborhood. If they are walking their child to school, and they are an American citizen or a legal, legal ...

Let’s Help Rupert Murdoch Investigate Fox’s Support of the Tea Party

When asked at a forum last night by Media Matters if it was appropriate for Fox News to be so openly supporting the Tea Party, the CEO of Fox’s parent company Rupert Murdoch said that Fox should not be supporting any party, and that he wanted to investigate the matter, so as an attempt to help along Rupert’s “investigation” here are some videos of Fox’s Tea Party advocacy.

McCain to Double Down on His Losing Health Care Strategy

John McCain Doubles Down on His Loser’s Strategy; Never Learns

John McCain is everywhere this post-healthcare reform passage morning. McCain is apparently feelin’ rather badly for himself and his party, as his main message today is “Everything we did wrong in the last year, we’re going to do more of! We’re going to run on repealing healthcare reform. We’re not going to be a part of any solutions. And lastly, I am bringing Palin back for another Hail Mary next week.”

It’s almost as if he learned nothing in the last 18 months.

First he took his pity party to the tee-vee, where he transparently whined, “with all this inside the beltway champagne toasting, outside the beltway the American people are very angry and we’re ...

GOP Rep Approves of Tea Partiers Shouting Nigger and Faggot at Dems

GOP Rep Approves of Tea Partiers Shouting Nigger and Faggot at Dems

Tea Partiers put their racism on full display. You can almost smell the cross burning.

On C-SPAN’s Washington Journal this morning Rep. David Nunes (R-CA) expressed his approval of tea party protesters who shouted faggot at Rep. Barney Frank and nigger at Rep. John Lewis. Nunes said, “Yeah, well I think that when you use totalitarian tactics, people, you know, begin to act crazy.” Racism and homophobia have nothing to do with health care, but everything to do with the tea party movement.

Here is the video courtesy of Think Progress:

When was asked about the slurs hurled at Reps. Lewis and Frank, Nunes said, “Yeah, well I think that when you use totalitarian tactics, people, you know, begin to act crazy. I ...

Rahm Emanuel: GOP Leaders Are Scared of the Tea Party

Rahm delights in the GOP civil war.

In an interview that will air on CBS’ 60 Minutes on Sunday night, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel waded into the civil war that is going on within the Republican Party. Emanuel refused to identify the tea partiers by name, but he described the state of the GOP as being, “at the behest of a fringe group that’s taken control of their own party and their own leaders are scared of it.”
