The James Baker Model or the Condoleezza Rice Model?
As some of you know, I am not a big fan of Thomas Friedman, but today he is asking an important, new question about whether or not Hillary Clinton should be the next secretary of state. He says, after four years of covering James Baker for #41, that foreign diplomats always knew that Baker spoke for George, the First, unlike everyone knows that Rice was just a front, that Cheney got the last word, and they did not have access to Cheney. With Hillary’s personal and professional foreign policy views significantly different than Barack’s, Friedman is asking the question about how these differences will not only play out, but how Clinton will be perceived and received and believed.

Good question. Reports have her being the #1 team player during the last 7 weeks of the election cycle. So, just to get things rolling, who you like for the Rs in 2012? the punditocraqcy are already hip deep into talking about this.
