Who would have thought that I would be sitting at my computer watching greedily for Indiana and North Carolina to add themselves to the Blue. What was it so many of us said about not being able to close the deal? <Grin>

Absolutely. It is one thing to be taught that the Founders designed a Republic in which, if those in power went too far, the voters could throw them out. It is entirely something else again to directly experience one of Jefferson’s “bloodless revolutions.”

Nerves John, nerves. That and the knowledge that the dems managed to lose so many times in the past. It really helped Obama that the economy collapsed worldwide. McCain was running only a couple of points behind until then. Of course the “Palin effect” did not fully take hold until the Couric interview
