As We Panic
Fact is, I’ve almost stopped reading BestoftheBlogs. Who needs a daily dose of Chicken Little when there’s news like this from Raising Kaine to boost morale and keep us pushing, pushing, pushing until we get this done.

John, it is chicken little time this time. But you do bring good news. I forecast a while back that Obama would benefit from reverse coattails, winning on the backs of congressional and senate races. This is a good example. And this is one case where race is most likely showing a difference between Warner’s big lead and Obama’s lesser lead over McCain. I also think this Warner benefits from the popular Republican Warner whose seat he is running for.
Too bad we don’t have a senate race in Wisconsin. Too bad we have a weak candidate in Minnesota. There, McCain is tightening things.

I’ve been betting a pint on Obama all along. No one here is willing to take me up, even if it’s only a pint of honor. That’s what makes the Chicken Littling lectures AWESOME!

If you really want panic, Tune into CSPAN2 for the Senate Banking Committee hearings with Paulson and Bernanke. These guys have NO ANSWERS! They just want $800B line of credit to buy trash securities , US and foreign, with no plan and a vague hope this will work. Watch them - they are nervous, the way their eyes shift they’re probably lying, and they simply don’t answer hard questions from either Repubs or Dems.
This country is at peril! These two make the senators look good!
