Update: No More Biden Our Time
Now we know. We’ll know in about 24 hours or less. Many in the MSM have been pushing Biden. While I like Kaine, I am starting to agree that Biden has the pitbull mentality and tongue to go after McCain, senator a senator, peer to peer. Kaine can’t. Bayh can’t. (Obviously it could be someone else.)
But if it is Biden, this is an interesting profile of Joe by David Brooks at the NYT, not everyone’s favorite, but it would be nice to have Brooks on our side as this goes forward.
Anyone see it differently?
Look for the first GOP ad to be about Biden’s plagiarism, and it might even run it before the announcement. I wouldn’t put it past them. If so, Obama should come back strong about Bush’s lies and McCain’s lies. Obama should defend Biden up front and get it over with. I hope he makes it part of the announcement and defangs it at the beginning, rather than letting it be the supporting story on Sunday.

Brooks is a republican partisan, through and through. He will only pretend to be moderate and then land on the right.
At this point, so close to the convention, I hope that it will be Biden but fear that it will be Hillary.

I want ret USMC Gen Zinni for VP. My guess is just as good as everyone else. I think that Obama will not pick another senator-last to do that was JFK-but Biden has other problems which the repigs will certainly dig up. I am thinking of the plagiarism that he was charged with, back in 04 I believe. Besides, he has this really bad habit of not putting a lock on his mouth which could also be a big problem. HRC is out because of the vetting that WJC would have to go thru AND because it would rouse the rethugs to a fury not yet seen this year. You really want to go back to the Clinton years? Doesn’t anyone remember what the MSM did to them-they followed the repig line then, just as they do today-or are all of the HRC supporters wearing a pair of rose colored glasses? Before she started her run last year she had 49% negatives, and that was without any input from the repig slime machine. I do believe however that she will emasculate(see the second def.-to weaken) Obama rather than strengthen the dem party during her nite at the convention

Zinni doesn’t know how to present on TV or in a debate. He only knows how to “brief” and that is a death knell.
