Put Her In.
Who is stopping the possible trial and punishment of Karl Rove dead in its tracks, despite the overwhelming evidence of felonious wrongdoing? Not the Pugs. It’s DINO (Democrat in Name Only) Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi claims that pursuing Rove and holding him legally accountable would be a distraction and an overreach on the part of the Dems. Really? Supporting the Constitution and making good on the oath of office everyone in Congress takes is a distraction? Dems are overreaching by holding criminals accountable? It shouldn’t be an option. Some things are bigger than election campaigns.
My remedy, give some dough to Cindy Sheehan and let her knock Pelosi out of Congress. If Harry Reid were running this year, I’d do the same thing. Sheehan is a shrill neophyte, but she’s got integrity–more than I can say about the two-faced operator from the Bay Area.

LC, the court ruling this morning kind of puts rove, along with miers and bolton in trouble, no? blanket ex. priv. shot down in court. Now, let the games begin

Rove is still going to ignore it. Besides, this issue and Kucinich’s 35 claims for impeachment will go nowhere when Pelosi kills them dead on the House floor as she has threatened. She’s as constitutionally reprehensible and negligent as any member of Bushco.

LC, subpoena has already been issued for Meirs and Bolton hasn’t it? Wasn’t that what the court fight was about? Please correct me if I am wrong.

Exactly right. Pelosi blocked the both matters from getting to the full house for a contempt charge that was enforceable. That’s the precedent and the problem.

LC, but since the court ruled for the HR, doesn’t that mean that they have to obey? or will they blow off the court also? I am assuming that this will go all the way up to the supremes, and the precedent of what happened in Nixon & watergate should apply,no??

Great questions, all. I think the court cleared the way for Pelosi to allow it to come to the floor, but I don’t think she’s not obligated bring it if she doesn’t want to. She doesn’t want to and it’s going to take some courage on the part of the other Dems to twist her arm. Fat chance. Not sure about the linkage to Nixon and Watergate–great question…
