I’m Calling It: Governor Tim Kaine for VP
Rather it looks like AP is coming close to calling it. Kaine is mum about it, always a good sign. While he has been my favorite for a while now, I was not aware that he was the first governor outside Illinois to endorse Obama. They are reportedly close and like each other. By picking someone outside Washington (barely) this is in keeping with Obama’s notion of changing Washington. Remember Kaine is Catholic and fluent in Spanish having lived in Hondorus for a few years so he is bound to campaign heavily in Hispanic states, many of them in red states. This will lock up Virginia, breaking the Pugs recent stranglehold on the South. However it brings no stickem’ on the economy or terrorism.
