Is This What We Can Expect from Former Clinton Supporters?
I know, there he goes again: if he can’t trash Hillary, he will trash Hillary supporters. Here is a case on point. Wesley Clark, a fixture of the Hillary Clinton campaign, has taken it upon himself to question John McCain’s lack of military leadership experience. He says McCain is a hero, but he was only a flyboy with no command experience. And, of course, he is doing it now as one who supports Obama. With “friends” like this, who needs enemies. Just what Obama needs. Yo, general, go back to Oklahoma and shut the feck up.
Conspiracy theorists will have a field-day with this one!

This is why he can’t be the Vice Presidential nominee. He doesn’t understand crap about politics and is overly-involved in self-aggrandizement. That said, he happens to be correct.

You know, three months ago rabid right pigs were claiming McCain’s war experience disqualified him as president. Brainwashing under torture, don’t you know.
Longest. Fricking. Campaign. Season. Ever.

Obviously the general has no politican experience, is abortive presidential run is a case on point. What he doesn’t understand, and to Sasha’s point, is that some times you can be wrong when you are right.

Even if the General is right, he should be quiet. John McCain has a lot of respect for being a POW. I know, I am a former Marine and I respect him. That whole deal about his refusing to be repatriated until all Americans were sent home rings with me.
OK, I know lot of stuff is coming out now, and I expect that in a political campaign. But that is not the way to go after John McCain on the political battlefield. Do not belittle his military career. Instead, we have to show that he is not the right man for today. Barack Obama is. And we should all stand and salute John McCain as we send him on to honorable retirement.

And Obama can be a gutless pussy for the best political reasons, all of which will backfire.
My obamallergic reactions are going to be spewtacular.
This election is going to wrench what toenails of dumbass idealism I have left out of my body.
I know. I’m going to be holding the pliers.

This whole discussion is based on a “deceptively cropped” clip from Clark’s interview with Bob Schieffer on Face the Nation. Clark was merely repeating Schieffer’s words. Check it out:

Yes, John, that’s why Obama’s being a gutless pussy about this.
He could have come out and said, Wesley Clark in no way impugned John McCain’s patriotism, and this is an example of the gotcha politics played by the media that distorts our discourse and demeans the public.
Of course, the media would have savaged him. The gutless pussy.

John, interesting link. I read it twice and I don’t see where Clark gets off on any spin here. If this point were clear, Obama surely would have pointed that out when he distanced himself from the remarks earlier today.
My point is that Obama has repeatedly said that McCain’s war experience is off limits, and Clark, a visible Clinton supporter, now has gummed up the works.

Yeah, I’ve seen the whole thing and Clark should stfu.

Also. I don’t think the fact that he is a former Clinton supporter has much to do with it. The only connection is that she (and bubba for that matter) consistently selected spokesmodels with poor judgement. And if you don’t believe me check out McAuliffe and Mark Penn.

Senator Obama rejects General Clark’s remarks and respects Senator McCain’s service.

After a certain number of times reciting to myself that HRC would do the same thing, it grates like a pepper-grinder.

Clark said exactly what needed to be said about fester’s military chops, factually, succinctly and without apologies. Thank fucking God. What is it that Dems don’t seem to get about the term, “gutless?” Would you rather have the McCain war hero meme go uncontested for the sake of some sort of bullshit sense of “politics” and fair play? Sheeesh!

Josh, you too have bought into the new MSM meme. st john can do no wrong, and we will twist the words of anyone who says anything that might be slightly against*OUR HERO*into an attack on the Obama campaign. But we will allow st john to say and do anything and we will not call him on it because of our *man crush* on *OUR HERO & SAVIOUR* so it begins.
