Open Thread: Head to Head?

Clinton proposes a no-moderator Lincoln-Douglas-style debate. My take: Great for the party, terrific opportunity for Obama, who got suckerpunched the last time out. Might be a great test drive for using that format in the general. Your thoughts?

We’ve had enough debates. He shouldn’t pretend that they are equally in the race. Instead he should be running against McCain.

I say go for it. We have to resolve the Democratic party split before the Republicans destroy America and a large part of the world.

The race is done. Senator Clinton is virtually out of money, can’t catch up in the delegate (or even the popular vote) race. So why would Senator Obama help her out by getting her free publicity? It seems to me that THAT would just prolong the split.

I vote with Sasha. Obama has nothing to gain with still one more debate. 23 are more than enough. Clinton is just using this as another ploy, hoping that Obama steps on his d*ck so that she can pull out a few more votes. Any more debates are not useful to Obama, but something that Clinton desperately needs.
