Sorry for the confusion…
Last night I wrote a very brief post on the Jeremiah Wright debacle, which said, in essence, that it was no surprise, and referenced a post that I wrote a month or so ago on that very issue. I took it down, myself, after an hour or two, realizing that the story was not nearly “baked” and that there is a lot more to say than, “I told you so…” To our readers who read it and wondered if there was some censorship afoot, my apologies.
The best part of this blog is that people here have very strong, if sometimes divergent opinions, and that this blog has given all of us, readers and bloggers alike, a place to say them. Passions have run white hot in this campaign and some of the rhetoric has gotten out of hand at times–that’s part of the process and despite some of the statements we’d all like to take back, we’re all big boys and girls and believe that we’re better off with the raw stuff than pulling punches. At least that’s my attitude. So again, no conspiracy. No censorship. I pulled the post in favor of writing something hopefully more insightful on this emerging tragedy at a later date.

One of the things I like about BoB is the differences of opinion everyone has, and even the arguments here are entertaining as well as informative. I’ve learned a lot at this site.
Having said that, I must say I understand that each of us thinks that our candidate is the best one for the job, and we want Him or Her to win, but I do not understand the venom expressed against the Democratic opponent of our candidate.
If Obama does not get the nomination, are His supporters at BoB going to vote for McCain, or are they going to stay home and not vote at all? I don’t think so. The same goes for Clinton supporters. We all care too much about this country to just hand it over to the republicans for another four years.
Most, if not all of us, are going to vote for the Democratic nominee no matter who He or She is, and the person we are demonizing today, just might be the one we wind up voting for in November.

Thank you for your gratuitous shout out ANH. Apparently wisdom-appreciating is something I’m in need of.
That said, it really isn’t an issue because Senator Clinton cannot possibley win. That is why I fail to understand her drive to destroy the party and the inevitable candidate.

Hey Leftcoast - Thanks for the update. I guess all the campaign brouhaha has made me a little paranoid. Also, I had just watched Keith Olbermann serve tea and crumpets to Obama, so, there you go. Keep up the good work LC - I always look forward to your posts.
