One of the unintended but foreseeable consequences of Edwards dropping out of the race was that 74 year-old Ralph Nader would think about getting back in the fray. He claimed that Edwards had the right message about “corporate greed” and that he was satisfied that some of his issues were being addressed. If Edwards had waited a while, it would have been harder for Nader to get on key state ballots. Too late now.
