You’re What’s for Dinner
Boy, Bush and Cheney really missed their chance. They should have bombed Iran yesterday. With the news channels focused on the guy in San Francisco who got eaten by a tiger at the zoo, they could have flattened Tehran and nobody would have noticed.
Of course, they could still do it today. The news channels are on the tiger beat this morning, having had 24 hours to brainstorm further tiger-related programming. Every local channel in the country has picked up the story as well: “Is our local zoo safe, or will your children be eaten by tigers as soon as you step foot out of the car?” “Would responsible parents take the kids to the zoo, or should they keep them at home playing video games where it’s safe?”
Seriously, though—you gotta wonder how many families have canceled Christmas outings to the zoo this week based on cable news hysteria alone. I’d wager, though, that an American zoo is one of the safest places you could go, because what are the odds that two people would be eaten by tigers at the zoo in the same week?
Good news: As long as you’re at your computer reading this blog, you’re safe. Unless you’re outside, reading it on your phone or PDA. And if you should happen to be reading it at the zoo, AAAAAGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!

RAWALPINDI, Pakistan - Pakistan opposition leader Benazir Bhutto was assassinated Thursday in a suicide bombing that also killed at least 20 others at a campaign rally, a party aide and a military official said.
“At 6:16 p.m. she expired,” said Wasif Ali Khan, a member of Bhutto’s party who was at Rawalpindi General Hospital where she was taken after the attack.

“This country will be in complete chaos and civil war by this time tomorrow, it may no longer be a safe haven for you know who. Dumbya certainly is spreading democracy around the globe, glad he crawled into bed with the Paki leader and asked him to resign as military head, so he could lead this nuclear nation.

I agree with you that Pakistan is headed for complete choas, and I don’t think that declaring Martial law (again) will stop it. It’s possible that Benazir Bhutto will change more in death than she would have if she had lived and won the election.
On the other hand, It’s ten O’clock on the east coast, and I’m already sick of watching CNN.

Well, I started reading this post, and I was thinking about some cute Tiger jokes. And then the entries that Benazar Bhutto has been killed. This sort of puts a cap on ANYTHING that president Bush set out to do in the Middle East doesn’t it.
Pakistan will be increasingly destabilized, with it’s at least 30 nuclear weapons.
And there is talk that she went back with American urging. If America cannot protect their friends, who can we protect?
And who will fight for us?
